Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup, or micropigmentation, has become a popular procedure — and with good reason! Micropigmentation highlights and defines lips and eyes with many advantages over temporary cosmetics.

Because micropigments are seen through a layer of skin, the color is softer and more natural looking than that of cosmetics, which are simply painted on the skin surface. Wendy can create a variety of looks, from natural coloring to professionally applied, daytime makeup.

Permanent makeup never smudges, runs, is eaten or kissed away, is wobbly or asymmetrical, or looks unprofessional. Whether you are swimming, rising from bed, emerging from your shower, or ending a long night of partying, your face still looks groomed and lovely. You don’t need to spend your precious time applying cosmetics — but you can create a more formal look whenever you wish, by applying regular makeup over your permanent color.

Wendy and her staff devote considerable time to careful, thorough consultation appointments before any pigment is applied. You and Wendy will look at pictures, discuss shapes, choose colors, and identify precisely the look that you want. During your procedure, you will consult a mirror frequently as Wendy applies pigment in fine increments to be sure that you get exactly what you want. This method of working takes time, and ensures your satisfaction with the results. Note that Wendy’s medical office always uses powerful anesthetics to ensure that you can participate in your makeup session in complete comfort.

One result of permanent makeup’s popularity is that this service is now offered by people who have widely varying education, skill, experience, equipment, and techniques. The operator’s artistic and professional knowledge, however, greatly determine the results. It is all too easy to apply unflattering permanent color to someone’s face. It requires experience and talent to do what Wendy does: to shape, define, and highlight, while maintaining a soft, natural look. In fact, many women engage Wendy to correct botched makeup applications by other operators.

Using her background as a skilled makeup artist and registered nurse, Wendy pioneered professional aesthetic application of micropigmentation techniques; in 1991, she was one of the first people in the country to be certified in this procedure. Since then, she has performed safe, carefully controlled, successful procedures on thousands of women. Wendy’s clinics are medical offices, meeting the highest standards of safety. In addition, there is a physician present at each of the locations where Wendy performs her work. Your satisfaction, safety, and comfort are all paramount in Wendy’s practice.

Wendy can work her magic for you by applying lip color, eyeliner, and eyebrow color.
